What Sawiliy is

A place to find independent makers and service providers in Oman, and to contact them.

Sawiliy is not a shop. We do not sell anything, hold stock, take payment, or deliver. Every sale is an agreement between you and the maker.

There is no checkout yet

Today you contact a maker on WhatsApp and arrange the purchase, the price, the delivery and the payment directly with them.

This means Sawiliy holds no money and provides no refunds, escrow or dispute resolution. If something goes wrong with an order, it is between you and the maker. We will help where we can, but we are not a party to the sale.

Your account

You sign in with a code we send you — to your email address, or to your phone number if your account has one. Whoever can receive that code can reach your account, so tell us if you lose access to it.

You must be 18 or older. One person, one account. Do not use someone else’s email address or phone number.

If you sell

Your listings must be accurate: real photographs of your own work, honest descriptions and honest prices.

You are the seller. You are responsible for the goods, for delivering what you promised, and for holding any licence your product legally requires — food handling and perfumery among them. Listing without a required licence is grounds for removal.

You keep ownership of your photographs and text. You give us permission to display them on Sawiliy and to use them to promote the marketplace.

Founding sellers

Sellers approved during the founding period pay no fees and no commission until 31 March 2028. That promise is dated and we will keep it. After that date, standard commission applies and we will tell you before it starts.

What you may not list

Anything illegal in Oman. Anything you did not make or are not authorised to sell. Counterfeits. Anything requiring a licence you do not hold. We may remove a listing or a shop that breaks these rules.

Ending it

You can stop using Sawiliy whenever you like and ask us to delete your account.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, misleads buyers, or puts other people at risk.

Liability

We provide the site as it is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

Because we are not a party to any sale, we are not liable for the goods, the service, the delivery or the payment. Nothing here removes rights you have under Omani law that cannot be removed by agreement.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Rwanda have jurisdiction. VUKUP LTD is a Rwandan company, which is why Rwandan law applies wherever you are using the site from.

If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protections your own country’s law gives you regardless of what a contract says.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will say so on this page and update the date above.
